Presentation Skills for E-Trainers

Technology has changed the way companies educate employees. Employees in geographically dispersed locations can have immediate communication while taking an online course together. Yet, even though the educational technology allows for instantaneous access to information, online course content may not be grounded in sound educational theory and the delivery medium may make training tedious and ineffective.

We will explore using an e-trainer to make the online content you may have already purchased more effective. The information age has inundated us with information but given us little instruction. This course will identify techniques to design and present effective e-learning.

First, we will explore emerging definitions of e-learning, examine the most popular e-learning tools available, and discuss how educational theory can be integrated with your learning solution. Then we will discuss, in general terms, content development and assembly. We will carefully review various delivery considerations and preparations. We will then identify how the trainer will have to adapt to presenting content with these new mediums.
